Concern rised about using commericial RAN in 5G Super Blueprint. The intent is to have a mix of open source + proprietry to start, then phase to all Open source.
- Observations on slide-1 - I am of the Opinion that 5G SUPER Blueprint has got to have Open Core and Open RAN architecture as the foundational basis since Day-1.... O-RAN and OPEN RAN goes beyond 3GPP specs to define new architecture, interfaces and deployments options. Although the demo can be a vendor who does not support Open RAN, the blueprint has got to start with O-RAN... This has to be debated a bit more by the community.
