30m, David McBride LFN is introducing a new service called, Release Management Support Service (RMSS), for projects that replaces dedicated release management support for a few projects with an advisory support service for ALL projects.
Topic Overview
Traditionally, LFN has done one of two things with regard to Release Management:
- Dedicated staff Release Manager (e.g., OPNFV, Anuket, ONAP)
- No support
We found that dedicated RM support is not scalable as LFN grows. We also found that projects that had no RM support sometimes struggle to remain viable.
RMSS is intended to occupy a middle ground between those two extremes.
