The term "Cloud-native" is widely used in Telco due to the advancements and contrubutions made to the use of SW to lower TCO (for further information please look at Red Hat's reports for 2021 and 2022 about the State of Enterprise Open Source).  When it comes to Telecom Network (dislike IT and HCP Solutions use of SW) Business models as well as developing and deploying SW in "known Target environment" (that the use of K8 enables), the scope and Latency requirements in Telco imposes some challenged when it comes to adoption of the "Cloud-native" factors for implementation of 5G Network Functions (NFs).

This section aims to share these particular aspects related to design, commissioning and operation of Telecom Networks implementing cloud-native Network Functions in 3GPP standard specifications for 5G.
