ONAP TSC to confirm badge categories and criteria.

Project Level Badges are issued annually in Q1 of the year and are based upon participation and contributions between January 1st and December 31st of the preceding year. 
At some point in the future some of these may be issued on a more frequent basis if and when those categories can be automated.

ONAP Contributor BadgeEarners of this badge are individuals who have shown their commitment to open source networking as an "Active Community Member" to ONAP within the past year.  Subject Matter Expert in Open Source; Networking; ONAPExperienceThe ONAP TSC defines an Active Community Members as Anyone from the ONAP community with twenty (20) or more measurable contributions during the previous 12-month period, inclusive of code merged, code reviews performed, wiki page edits, (creation, modification, comments or attachments) or JIRA activities (creation, modification, comment or closure).

for the purposes of badging only this is measured and issued based on calendar year boundaries. (from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31 the previous year.)


ONAP Committer BadgeEarners of this badge have achieved Committer status on ONAP within the past year.  This recognition acknowledges the efforts of those committers in dedicating their time & skills to the project and displaying their personal eminence.Subject Matter Expert in Open Source; Networking; ONAPExperienceCommitter status for ONAP as per status of "+2" commits as measured in LFX Insights annually from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31 the previous year.  
The justification for using +2 commits as the criteria versus using someone listed as a committer in an INFO.yaml file is because there are many people that are listed as Committers in name only who are not performing their responsibilities in that regard.
ONAP 100 Commits BadgeEarners of this badge have gone above and beyond with over 100 commits to ONAP within the past year.  This recognition acknowledges the efforts of those committers in dedicating their time & skills to the project and displaying their personal eminence.Subject Matter Expert in Open Source; Networking; ONAPExperienceAt least 100 merged commits to ONAP as measured by LFX Insights community leaderboard from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31 the previous year.  

ONAP Leader BadgeEarners of this badge have demonstrated their dedication to open source networking by serving in a leadership role on ONAP.  Such roles might include elected membership to the Technical Steering Committee, serving as a lead for a subcommittee, or other similar role.Subject Matter Expert in Open Source; Networking; Leadership; ONAPExperienceTSC member, Project Subcommittee leader, and other roles as determined by the ONAP's TSC during the previous calendar year.

ONAP PTL BadgeEarners of this badge have lead a subproject of ONAP within the past year.  The Project Technical Lead (PTL) is the backbone of open source projects & dedicates substantial time and effort to the success of the project.Subject Matter Expert in Open Source; Networking; ONAP; Software Development LeadershipExperienceDesignated Project Technical Lead (PTL) for ONAP during the previous calendar year.

ONAP Ambassador Badge Earners of this designation have demonstrated their commitment to  ONAP and been recommended by the ONAP to ONAP further evangelize ONAP across the industry, attract new organizations, answer questions, and help onboard participants.ONAP Marketing; Speaking; MediaVolunteerBe recognized Ambassadors by the Project marketing function.

ONAP Demo Award WinnerEarners of this badge have been chosen by the TSC for the quality of their recorded demonstration of ONAP functionalitySubject Matter Expert in  ONAP, ONAP MarketingPresentationA specific sub-category of the ONAP Community Awards

ONAP 5 year ContributorRecognizing a milestone achievement for the person. Earners of this badge have met the criteria for being an Active Community Member for 5 consecutive years.Subject Matter Expert in Open Source; Networking; Leadership; ONAPExperienceThe ONAP TSC defines an Active Community Members as Anyone from the ONAP community with twenty (20) or more measurable contributions during the previous 12-month period, inclusive of code merged, code reviews performed, wiki page edits, (creation, modification, comments or attachments) or JIRA activities (creation, modification, comment or closure).
