Our proposal is to build an O-RAN specific Macro flow-based NSSMF, which offers and implements 3GPP Slicing APIs of TS 28.532 as northbound APIs which can integrate with an external NSMF

Topic Overview

The presentation & demo will cover the following elements of the slice creation process

  • Existing models for NSST and Slice Profile are reused in SDC
  • Existing objects like SliceProfile and NSSI are reused in AAI.
  • Service model information mentioned in SDC at a design time decides the SO flow
  • SO macro flow building blocks get executed based on 3gpp service requests.
  • SO macro flow has integrated with OOF (OOF will refer to policy) for NSST selection
  • The existing OOF and Policy integration framework are reused
  • SO macro flow calls CDS workflows. CDS is used for configuring the network with the slice parameters.
