Event Timing

  • Preferences have been communicated for a 3 day-long event that lasts 3 hours.
  • It may be difficult to schedule 3 days back to back with the number of increased meetings due to increased meetings for people working from home.
  • CNTT Governance Meeting looked at a 4-day long event: https://wiki.lfnetworking.org/x/HAMQAg
    • TC: That may be great for people who regularly engage in CNTT meetings, but may not be helpful for attracting new people or developers that don't normally have the time to attend the meetings.
    • HK: Is there a way that we can communicate with organizational leadership to indicate that "We would have gone physically to this event anyway" to let them block out some time or days to attend the virtual event.
    • SS: Unfortunately we are not sequestered to a specific time zone.  That may affect our attendance.
  •  For April ONAP preference is 3 hours per day, for 3 days, held between 13:00 UTC and 16:00 UTC on April 21, 22 & 23
  • Considerations for other virtual events

Event Format

  • What is the content and who are we hoping will attend?
  • Will we have concurrent running meetings?
  • Virtual Happy Hour?
    • #confirmed

Event Topics

  • Do we need a new page to track the event?  Should we consolidate the Topic Proposals page so that there is not cross-community confusion.
  • Suggestion of recieving one reserved session for ONAP and tother communities
  • What topics will need to be identified as "Webinars"?
