General

Still need to capture and track the MMA Action items better. Some of us do not need to create and populate new Issues for tracking.

GitHub(https://github.com/cntt-n/CNTT/projects/28).  Currently all action items are in Confluence tagged MMA.

Meeting Notes

New CNTT Member Joins

BT has joined the CNTT and this is prompting a discussion on new member follow up. Telecom Italia will be joining soon as well. No one has responded back officially yet to BT. There was an action to draft a template to welcome those who join and link to the get started page. Beth and Jonathan volunteered to take this action. This email will be sent by the prime person who helped bring in the new member with a CC to the TSC and workstream leads. AI: Beth CohenJonathan Beltran

GitHub for Governance: Last week Jonathan gave a training on GitHub for non-developers. You can see it here: https://wiki.lfnetworking.org/display/LN/Tools+and+Training.

Marketing Outreach Exec Interview Status:

Status:

  • Orange: Done
  • Mirantis: Need to Reschedule
  • Red Hat: Andrew McClachLan setting up a meeting to discuss
  • Nokia: Jonne Soininen will review and respond
  • Telstra: Nick Chase talking to Walter/Joanna
  • Ericsson: Bob Monkman to Reach out to Phil Robb

These have a March 15 completion goal. Might have to push the deadline. Once we have 3 or so operators + vendors we should have a common pattern.

Marketing Event/Collateral Discussion:

  • Current Red Hat Policy: No Travel unless business critical
  • ONES Panel and Sessions: Still waiting on the schedule. Is the event still on? Yes for now. Standing by. Group consensus that F2F meetings are much better/more efficient, however, we should start thinking about trying to do this remotely.  Scot Steele and Jonathan Beltran  discussing
  • CNTT Whitepaper: Need to get material the writer. He’s seen chapter Nick Chase to follow up with writer, give access to the material and to GitHub.
  • CNTT Demo: Mirantis + VMware are working on a possible “Alpha / Field Trial Demo”. The demo should show what we’re trying to achieve—a first test of the actual test suite. This is NOT a test of the NVFI itself or a VNF. It’s meant to determine if our test suite is working, and if there is a failure, figure out the bugs, etc. AND a test of the methodology. Can represent a “cookbook” for going forward. Note: This for RA1 (not RA2). The Strawman is there. Reviewed first 2 of 5 stages (filed trial approach). Descriptions continuing to evolve. Scot Steele is going to set up sub-group, continue fleshing out the field trial approach.

Metrics:

  • Need some Questions to ask for feasibility or CNTT methods (e.g. cookbook) so the product of badging being offered is sufficiently supported by the industry “a lifecycle feedback loop” between CNTT and OPNFV to adopt RA1, RA2. A sub-group call will create questions Jonathan Beltran working on this.
  • For Dev Analytics, we need to map IDs to Analytics site. Scot Steele reaching out to Jim Bakeron this.
  • For testing, what are test pass/fail results regardless of source? Might need to do blind trials.

Note: Verizon working on an internal Doc for MANO requirements. Beth Cohen asking them to insert CNTT content as part of it.

General Agenda:

We have actions the MAJOR captured on a page (in GitHub). Github.com/cntt-n/CNTT/projects/28. Rabi pulls his To Do from this list. Bob Monkman is the lead to review AIs coming out of this group to help vet and prioritize. Note: Users can take the GitHub training to learn how to update this page.
