Agenda

  • We will start by mentioning the project's Antitrust Policy, which you can find linked from the LF and project websites. The policy is important where multiple companies, including potential industry competitors, are participating in meetings. Please review and if you have any questions, please contact your company legal counsel. Members of the LF may contact Andrew Updegrove at the firm Gesmer Updegrove LLP, which provides legal counsel to the LF.

Goal Planning

  • 2023 Recap
    • Lifecycle Documentation & Induction
      • We still need to approve our updated documentation
      • Not enough engagement at the planning session to vote on the resolution
    • LFN Security
      • Updated Security Forum wiki
        • Need more engagement from projects
      • Best practices and Tools are being updated so that we can share with the community
        • If you are interested in participating please reach out on the TAC mailing list
      • AI Taskforce
        • We have started brainstorming.  There will be a session at the D&TF this week and we encourage you to participate.

  • 2024 Topics
    • Continue to drive outstanding topics
    • Security, AI, Edge, 6G, CNF Conformance

Security

  • We need to continue to improve supply chain security across LFN
  • Documentation of the security requirements, processes, available tooling and a hoot guide.
  • We should also try to fe3ed learnings from new projects like Nephew back to the LFN security forum
  • We should also make sure that new projects start off with best practices like Netmaker

AI Taskforce

  • Toth has no depenencies on Anuket.  Should we try to make that a high-level project?
  • We need more datasets!
  • Edge also has some use cases
    • It may be that we need to focus on the interconnect between our projects

Edge Networking

  • We need to have some kickoff sessions soon about this topic

Transition to 6G

  • How will the technology evolve?
    • We do not have any current use cases built

CNF Conformance and Certification

  • There is potential for a new Cloud Native Networking Project
    • TAC will need help in defining the scope
  • We can start with new certification based on the CNCF's Certification and Anuket's R2 workload requirements

There is some overlap with Anuket and CNCF and discussions on alignment have started with Gergely Csatari

Gergely Csatari will send the details of this engagement to the TAC mailing list.

Robert Varga While if there is a current project or activity that suits the need, we shouldn't start a new project.  We shouldn't compete against each other.  That does not mean it should be a barrier if you'd like to do something different.  There are opportunities for collaboration.

CNF Testing and Anuket is a perfect example of where we can improve our collaboration.

Byung-Woo Jun mentioned that SBOM is not entirely reliable due to injection methods.  Is there other methods to implement that we should be focusing on?

SBOM is not necessarily suitable for all projects.  FD.io as example.  We should drive a centralized discussion from the LFN Security form wiki
