Local Meetup Groups and 2023 Events Heather Kirksey 

  • Heather presented data around travel availability.
  • Travel remains restricted, however it's opening up within regions.
  • Review of events audience and composition
  • Data presented on D&TF attendance trends from 2019 through current
    • D&TF have the best attendance rates compared to registrations
    • We get higher participation rates virtually due to accessibility 
    • We will have a second D&TF sometime in June
    • In Autumn we will have a D&TF in Europe
      • Remote support will be minimal, similar to Porto
  • ONE Summit 2024 will be in the Bay Area in the spring
    • Co located sister community events will be featured
  • ONE Summit 2023
    • There will be 5 local events spread across the globe (NA, Europe, China and India)
    • Hosted by local members to serve their geography and local community
  • Local meet up groups - local open source networking meet up groups were a local resource pre pandemic
    • We are speaking with potential site host for ONE Summit Regional about their interest
    • These events will be free of charge

EMCO Project Healthcheck

  • Intel has pulled back from EMCO
  • Aarna Networks has stepped up to take the lead 
  • Community recommends to keep EMCO as a sandbox project for now. 
  • Short term activities will focus on support and patch releases
