Agenda

  • Start the Recording
  • We will start by mentioning the project's Antitrust Policy, which you can find linked from the LF and project websites. The policy is important where multiple companies, including potential industry competitors, are participating in meetings. Please review and if you have any questions, please contact your company legal counsel. Members of the LF may contact Andrew Updegrove at the firm Gesmer Updegrove LLP, which provides legal counsel to the LF.

    • The MAC was very supportive of the tool and it's application in the following areas:
      • Augment / replace the “Open Source Networking Stack” Slide

      • Serve as the home / portal for verification badging

      • Examine the stack layer by layer and highlight project coverage and integration

      • Provide a foundation for solution marketing efforts by LFN members (e.g breaking up the open networking stack layer by layer and highlighting LFN member contributions

    • MAC is asking for community volunteers to work with us on the LFN Landscape (Seshu and Neal volunteered)
  • LFN Evolution

    • The LF and LFN have recently accepted / launched new projects (e.g. XGVela, Magma) and new members (e.g. Google) with more news on the way.
    • LFN capabilities are therefore expanding and the messaging needs to be updated.
    • The existing messaged will get some minor updates, but new sections on Enterprise and Cloud are missing.
    • MAC is asking for community volunteers to work with us on the Cloud & Networking Messaging (Bob & Neal volunteered)
  • OVP Evolution

    • The OPNFV Verification Program (OVP) needs to be renamed/rebranded.
    • MAC reviewed the recommendations from the Anuket Marketing Working Group to evolve the name/brand to the "Anuket Assured" Program (AAP)
    • This reco will be taken back to the CVC for formal adoption.
  • MAC Vice Chair Discussion

    • A proposal has been made by the community to consider a MAC Vice Chair position.
    • The MAC was supportive though the role needs to be better defined and chronicled somewhere (possibly the charter).
