OpenDaylight is now coming to be 10 years old. It has been designed and implemented with the assumption of the classic Java application server, without any external dependencies.
These design tenets are no longer relevant and are forcing us to maintain a lot of code infrastructure that is weighing us down and makes for a huge barrier to adoption.
We will discuss how to move forward in several, subtly-interconnected areas:
