Casey Cain will reach out to connected projects to invite them to the D&TF.
Update on AI
Ranny Haiby provided an update on the current discussions taking place on AI in the Governing Board and SPC
Network Optimization and Network Operations seem to be the current priority
Ranny noted that in the survey, there is a clear need to make public data available and tagged appropriately
Other issues that need to be addressed such as secure data exchange and standards on data collection and transfer
Ranny Haiby noted that the SPC and Board are looking to form a SIG to address concerns
Ranny Haiby encouraged AI experts to join the SIG.
N.K. Shankaranarayanan asked if the effort was centered on LFN or if this was an LF wide effort
Ranny Haiby said that our efforts will be focused on our domain.
AI + Data focuses on horizontal, cross domain
LF Edge and AI include Edge and IOT specific use cases and solutions specific to Edge Verticals like manufacturing, automotive, etc
Alignment with other Projects
Olaf Renner we have reached out to the Nephio TSC regarding joining the LFN
There seems to be a positive response so far
The project will be considering the motion at the next TSC meeting
The project is likely to request to join as a Graduated project.
#AGREED The TAC will permit the Nephio induction packet to be submitted with less than the full 2 week review period based upon the timing of Nephio's TSC (tomorrow) and the TAC meeting.
Olaf Renner suggested that we invite the CAMARA project to the TAC in order to discuss how the LFN can best collaborate with them.
