The LFN Mentee badge recognizes those individuals who have completed a project within the LFN Mentorship Program. These programs offer a structured hands-on learning opportunity for new developers who may otherwise lack the opportunity to gain exposure to open source software development and entry to the LFN projects' technical communities. The LFN Mentor badge recognizes those individuals who have committed themselves to mentoring one or more new developers through the LFN Mentorship Program. This badge acknowledges that the mentor has gone above-and-beyond in strengthening the LFN communities while also growing new talent.
